Navigating the competitive landscape of Modern Warfare 3's Ranked Play can be complex, especially with frequent updates to banned weapons and attachments. The Season 4 Reloaded update has introduced new restrictions, refining the list of prohibited items to maintain a fair competitive environment.

Staying updated on these restrictions is crucial for players aiming to improve their skills and climb the leaderboards. Understanding what is off-limits allows players to focus on optimizing their gameplay with the remaining arsenal, ensuring they are well-prepared to face their opponents.

List of Banned Weapons and Attachments in MW3 Ranked Play Season 4 Reloaded

Season 4 Reloaded of Modern Warfare 3's Ranked Play has set specific restrictions on various weapons to maintain fair competition. Here’s a detailed list of what is not allowed:

  • Light Machine Guns (LMGs): All LMGs are restricted due to their high ammo capacity and suppressive fire abilities.
  • Shotguns: Every shotgun is banned as they disrupt the competitive flow with their close-quarters dominance.
  • Marksman Rifles: These blend the power of assault rifles and snipers, giving an unfair advantage, and are thus banned.
  • Battle Rifles: Designed for mid-range combat, all battle rifles aren’t permitted in Ranked Play.
  • Launchers: These are prohibited as they do not promote strategic gameplay in a competitive environment.
  • Specific Assault Rifles: Weapons like the SVA-545, RAM-7, BP50, DG-58, FR 5.56, and BAL-27 are banned to ensure balanced gameplay.
  • Specific Submachine Guns (SMGs): The WSP Swarm, HRM-9, RAM-9, FJX Horus, and Superi 46 SMGs are included in the ban list.
  • Melee Weapons: Riot Shield along with Soulrender, Gladiator, and Sledgehammer melee weapons are not allowed due to balance issues.
  • Pistols: The WSP Stinger, TYR Launcher, and COR-45 pistol with Incendiary rounds are deemed too disruptive for Ranked Play.

Banned Attachments

The restrictions also extend to certain attachments:

  • Muzzle Attachments: Specific muzzles that alter balance too much are banned.
  • Special Ammunition: Ammunition types like Incendiary rounds are excluded due to their disruptive effects.
