Format and Teams of the LCP 2025 Season Kickoff
The LCP Season Kickoff is set to launch on January 17 as the pioneering event in the Pacific championship league for 2025. This tournament unfolds in two distinct stages. Initially, eight teams, consisting of four Partner teams and four Guest teams, compete in a round-robin format. Each team engages in a single best-of-three match series against every other team.
Post the seven-game series, teams are ranked on a ladder. The two lowest-ranking teams face elimination, whereas the top six advance to the playoffs stage. During the playoffs, teams compete in a double-elimination format, with the top two teams from the round-robin receiving a bye in the first round. The team emerging victorious from the playoffs secures a spot in Riot’s major tournament, First Stand, scheduled for March.
