16 Agents Two Exclusive Maps

Riot Games has introduced VALORANT Mobile, sharing important details about what players can expect at launch. The announcement included the official trailer as well as information about the available gameplay features, Agents, and maps.

With this development, VALORANT expands to mobile devices, offering fans of the tactical shooter a new way to experience the title. This release highlights Riot Games’ ongoing efforts to make the game accessible to a wider audience.

VALORANT Mobile Currently Limited by Region

VALORANT Mobile is, for the time being, accessible only within China. LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS, a well-known developer under Tencent Games, is leading the charge on adapting the game for mobile devices. Their history of successful titles like PUBG Mobile and Apex Legends Mobile has positioned them well for this release.

Why the China-first launch?

  • China is recognized for its large and passionate mobile FPS player base.
  • LIGHTSPEED STUDIO’s strong local presence and expertise make the region a suitable testing ground.
  • Starting locally helps ensure the player experience is finely tuned before a broader rollout.

Work on the project has centered on recreating the core VALORANT experience:

  • Responsive ability controls
  • Accurate, skill-based shooting
  • Consistent and smooth performance across a range of devices

Map Variety and Mobile-Exclusive Locations

Players will have the opportunity to compete on two new locations, Shipyard and Ancient Village, created specifically for the mobile edition. In addition to these unique maps, six well-known environments from the desktop version—Ascent, Bind, Haven, Breeze, Split, and Fracture—are available, offering a mix of familiar and fresh tactical spaces. This combination encourages adaptation to different layouts and playstyles.

Arsenal and Weaponry Features

The arsenal closely matches the PC version, including the Outlaw available from the start. All standard weapons are featured without any mobile-specific changes or removals. While the Regen Shield's inclusion has not been confirmed, all weapon types currently seen in trailers mirror their desktop counterparts for consistency in gameplay.
