Blast Open Spring Lisbon 2025

The CS2 2025 circuit is making significant stops in Denmark and Portugal with the BLAST Open Spring 2025 event. This tournament follows January's BLAST Bounty, where Team Spirit emerged victorious. Mid-March marks the continuation of this competitive landscape, as teams first gather at the Copenhagen studio.

Once the qualifying rounds conclude in Denmark, successful teams will advance to the playoff stage in Lisbon, Portugal, starting March 28. The MEO Arena, familiar to fans since it previously hosted top-tier events in 2022, sets the stage for an exciting competition. Participants and spectators alike can look forward to an event brimming with competitive spirit and high-level play.

Team and Match Structure for BLAST Open Spring 2025

BLAST's second major event for Counter-Strike 2 in 2025 takes off in the Copenhagen studio. Running from March 19 to 26, it hosts 16 teams divided into two groups of eight. These groups compete in a double-elimination format, with best-of-three matches determining their progress.

At this stage, the top two teams in each group’s upper bracket final secure spots in the playoffs. The winner advances directly to the semifinals, while the runner-up and the last team standing in the lower bracket move to the quarterfinals.

The competition then shifts to Lisbon’s MEO Arena from March 28 to 30, where the six remaining teams face off in a single-elimination bracket to crown the champion. Notably, this tournament will not feature the Bounty system implemented in earlier months.

The lineup consists of teams qualifying through various routes. Twelve teams received direct invitations based on their standing in the Valve Ranking System (VRS) as of February 3. These include renowned teams such as Team Spirit, G2 Esports, and Team Vitality. Meanwhile, four teams emerged from the BLAST Rising events, representing Europe, North America, South America, and Asia. Teams like Astralis from Europe and M80 from North America joined through this circuit.
