Monyet Joins Team RRQ
Cahya „Monyet“ Nugraha, a prominent name in the Indonesian esports scene, has recently been welcomed into the ranks of Team RRQ. The move materialized following his departure from Paper Rex and comes at a pivotal time as the squad regroups from their unsuccessful bid to clinch a spot at the Masters Shanghai event.
Team RRQ, a seasoned contender in the competitive landscape of esports, prepares for a new chapter with Monyet on board. His experience and skill are anticipated to bring a fresh dynamic to the team's strategy as they recalibrate and aim for future victories in the high-stakes arena of professional gaming.
RRQ Fortifies VALORANT Lineup with Addition of Monyet
RRQ, a notable competitor in the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT), took a proactive step to enhance their team dynamics by recruiting Cahya „Monyet“ Nugraha, a promising young esports athlete from Indonesia. Regarded for his tenure with notable teams such as ONIC Esports and Global Esports, Monyet has now set out on a new escapade with RRQ.
Although the group showcased strong play during VCT Stage 1 Pacific, they found themselves on the cusp of playoff entry, ranking fourth in the Group Stage and facing defeats from teams like T1 esports and Global Esports. Regrettably, a 3-2 scoreline was insufficient for securing a top-three finish, which would have guaranteed them a spot in the playoffs.
The VALORANT division of Team RRQ is currently composed of:
- David „xffero“ Monangin
- Hagai „Lmemore“ Tewuh
- Park „Estrella“ Gun
- Maksim „Jemkin“ Batorov
- Cahya „Monyet“ Nugraha
Looking ahead, MONYET’s induction is timed with the upcoming VCT Masters Shanghai, beginning May 20, which is staged to feature leading VALORANT squads. A slight alteration in the tournament's agenda is anticipated as certain teams, like Team Heretics, might encounter challenges in presenting a full lineup for their initial game. Riot Games has thus adjusted the schedule accordingly to facilitate full-team participation.
For RRQ devotees, anticipation is mounting for the squad's re-entry in VCT Pacific Stage 2, scheduled to initiate on June 15. This round of competition stretches over the span of a month, concluding on July 21, with the top three Pacific teams destined to secure positions at the prestigious VT Champions 2024. Monyet’s presence on the RRQ roster is expected to buttress the team's performance in the high-stakes tournaments ahead.
